Bold Types legal information
Terms of Sale
Effective for commerce test version v59 · 20 June 2026
1. Who we are
These terms apply to purchases from Robert Mottershead trading as Bold Types (“Bold Types”, “we”, “us”). We are a sole-trader business and are not currently a limited company. Email: support@boldtypes.co.uk. Trading/contact address: [INSERT BUSINESS CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS BEFORE LAUNCH].
2. The contract
By submitting an order you offer to buy the personalised cards shown at checkout. An order is accepted when payment has been captured and an order confirmation is issued. Automated submission to our production partner may begin immediately after payment.
3. Products and previews
The front image and live inside preview help you check the order. Screen colours, line wrapping and exact positioning may vary slightly in print. Your approved wording is converted automatically into the production artwork. Differences that do not materially alter the design or wording are not faults.
4. Your responsibility for personalisation
Check recipient labels, spelling, punctuation, names, dates, sign-offs, font, alignment, photo placement and stickers before payment. Emoji are reproduced inside the approved print image, and GIFs print as a still frame. We do not routinely proofread, retouch or correct customer content.
5. Prices, payment and free delivery
Launch prices are in pounds sterling and include free standard delivery to one eligible address within the United Kingdom only. The offer does not apply to international addresses or to optional express, tracked or upgraded delivery services unless checkout expressly states otherwise. Launch prices are: one personalised card £6.97; two cards £11.50; three cards £15; and four to six cards £5 per card. Every card may contain different wording, but one order must use one UK delivery address. Payment is processed by PayPal.
6. Production and delivery partners
We use specialist white-label providers, including Prodigi where configured, to manufacture and dispatch orders. The details needed to print and deliver the order are transferred securely after payment. Bold Types remains the seller and your point of contact.
7. Live fulfilment quote
Before payment, the website may request a live production and delivery quote. If fulfilment is unavailable or the quoted cost makes the advertised order impossible to supply, checkout will stop before payment and ask you to contact support.
8. Personalised goods and cancellation
Because cards are made to your specification, the usual change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply once production has begun. Contact us immediately if you need to change or cancel an order. Automated production can begin quickly, so changes cannot be guaranteed.
9. Faults, damage and non-delivery
Your statutory rights are not affected. Contact us promptly with your order number and photographs where relevant if a card is damaged, faulty, materially different from the approved order or does not arrive. An appropriate remedy may include replacement or refund.
10. Events outside reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, but we will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect and keep you informed where practicable.
11. Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or statutory consumer rights. We are not responsible for unforeseeable losses or business losses arising from a consumer purchase.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts applicable to their part of the United Kingdom.
